FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State University track and field standout and Canadian national champion Erin Teschuk is making her debut in international competition.

The junior from Winnipeg, Manitoba is set to compete for Canada in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. Teschuk won that event with a meet record at the recent Canadian Track and Field Championships.

The race is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Central time and will be shown through ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

The Pan Am Games feature 41 countries and are held every four years the year before the Summer Olympic Games.

Teschuk is the first woman in NDSU history to qualify for the NCAA Championships in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track at the Division I level.
