LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Andrew White, the second-leading scorer for Nebraska last season, plans to play his final season at another school as a graduate transfer.

Coach Tim Miles said Sunday that White requested a release and will be given one. White, who sat out the 2014 to 2015 season after transferring from Kansas, averaged 16.6 points and 5.9 rebounds in his only season with the Cornhuskers.

White submitted his name for the NBA draft on April 21st and didn't withdraw until hours before the deadline for underclassmen.

Miles said he's had discussions with White's father over the last month about the 6-foot-7 wing's "place in our program."

Miles said he's disappointed with White's decision but that he's excited about next season.
