Television contracts are on the rise and the NBA is heading towards a huge offseason when it comes to money. For franchises, money continues to rise and a new team is considered the most valuable in the NBA.

According to Forbes, the New York Knicks have become the most valuable NBA franchise (again) with a worth of $3 billion. That is fourth in the United States in all sports behind the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and New York Yankees.

It isn't bad news at all for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Although they are ranked near the bottom of the list, they have also increased the value of their franchise over one year by 15%. The Timberwolves also bring in about $147 million in revenue each year according to Forbes.

The most valuable franchise in the NBA for 2015 was the Los Angeles Lakers, and they have now moved back to second.
