Coming in to the 2nd Round Playoff matchup between NDSU and SDSU, the better team on paper and on the field was NDSU. After Saturdays game, nothing changed.

SDSU lost the regular season game on the same field earlier this year by one score, yet this go around was a bit uglier for the Jackrabbits.

After jumping out to a 3-0 lead, NDSU never looked back. They scored 21 straight points to close out the 1st half and take a commanding 21-3 lead.

First NDSU stuck through the air with a 12yd Touchdown pass from Brock Jensen to Garrret Bruhn, followed by a 33yd TD run from Ryan Smith and closing out the half with a 2yd rushing TD from QB Brock Jensen.

Going into the game, we all knew that SDSU would have to slow down NDSU's offense and force turnovers, something they obviously were unsuccessful at in the 1st half.

With a 18 point lead and not to mention the home field crowd behind them, the Bison defense came out in the 3rd quarter and was in dominant form, not allowing SDSU a chance to come back with a scoreless quarter.

In the 4th quarter, NDSU put the cherry on the top with a 9yd touchdown pass from Jensen to Bruhn to take a 28-3 lead, which would end up being the final in this contest.

NDSU not only was able to put together a nice day offensively, they were able to shut down the stud running back from SDSU in Zach Zenner who rushed the ball 15 times for only 46 yards.

Austin Sumner the SDSU quarterback ended the day 17 of 31 with 196 yards passing, no TD's and 1 INT.

NDSU was led by Brock Jensen who passed 25 times, completing 15 and throwing for 2 touchdowns while rushing for one as well.
