A big honor for Northern State head women’s basketball coach Curt Fredrickson. He is going to be inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame.

Fredrickson is one of 13 new inductees and will go into the Women’s Basketball Coach Category.

Fredrickson told the Aberdeen American News:

“I was a little surprised when I got the letter in the mail, it seems like a long time ago that we won those national tournaments in ’92 and ’94, probably because it was a long time ago.

It’s a nice honor, obviously, but it’s an honor that comes with a basketball team. Had we not had the success that we did, particularly in ’92 and ’94, I wouldn’t be getting this honor.”

The ceremony is March 5 in Sioux City, as part of the NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship festivities.

Fredrickson has more than 700 wins in 33 years as the Wolves head coach.
