We've all seen videos of husbands and wives, sons and daughters and grandsons and granddaughters returning home from military duty to surprise family members at sporting events.

But we often forget about the love and bond between siblings.

Notre Dame point guard Matt Farrell, along with his mother and father, received the surprise of a lifetime after Notre Dame's 77-62 win over Colgate on Monday.

Matt's brother, 1st Lt. Bo Farrell, was stationed in Afghanistan for military duty. But not on Monday night.

There are few moments as joyous and touching as these. Little can encapsulate what it means to be a family more than these moments of pure surprise and joy.

I'll never get tired of seeing these videos, and I hope they never stop coming. It's stories like these that heal broken hearts and restore faith in humanity.
