UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) — New York Islanders fans are hoping they have a few more games to enjoy before their team packs up and moves to Brooklyn.

The team is moving because owner Charles Wang was stymied in several attempts to renovate the aging Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, which opened in 1972. Plans have since been submitted for a renovated coliseum, but Wang has already signed a 25-year lease for the team to play at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn starting next season.

In the meantime, the Islanders are competing in the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. That has fans dreaming of the team's glory days, when it won four straight titles in the 1980s. That's a feat no sports franchise has matched since.
