Friday night the Sioux Falls Lincoln boys team hung on to defeat Rapid City Central.

Saturday, the Patriots (9-8) let Rapid City Stevens score 13 unanswered second half points and fell to the West River team 61-50.

Lincoln had a 6-0 lead, but it evaporated to 9-8 after one period. Lincoln traded jabs with the Raiders in the second quarter and led at intermission 26-24. Each team shooting around 33 percent in the first half.

Down 31-26 in the third, Stevens, led by first-year coach Derris Buus of Winner, took momentum to their end of the bench on that 13-0 run and lead 39-31 late third quarter. The closest Lincoln could get was 39-35 after three quarters as they were outscored 22-15 in the last quarter.

Patriots got 19 points from Adam Jaros and Nermin Krdzalic added 15 points.

Steven Schaeffer was the leading scorer draining 24 points on three 3-pointers for RCS.

Stevens converted on 8 3s, as Lincoln's defense has allowed 31 made 3s in the last three games.

Patriots had ten 3s, but only converted on six field goals inside the arc.

Lincoln closes out the season with three straight on the road beginning Tuesday at O'Gorman.
