Engaged

In a move that no one close to him ever saw coming, Reno Bighorns Head Coach Joel Abelson finally got engaged to his long time girlfriend Lauren Weitz.

Now the NBA D-League is full of surprise stories, but the fact that a woman as gorgeous and wonderful as Lauren would settle down with Joel is like Joel looking down at his Powerball ticket and seeing five matching numbers as well as the Powerball number.

Hopefully this stability will help him coach better too. This can only be seen as a added bonus for the Sacramento Kings who currently are running the Bighorns of the NBA D-League.

Seriously, all kidding aside, I couldn't be happier for my good friend.

In a time where the NBA D-League is awaiting a new President and locally the Skyforce are awaiting a new head coach, we thought we would be first to the punch to break some REAL news in the NBA D-League!
