The deal is reportedly $2.7 million for one season.
The Timberwolves waived Stiemsma Sunday after he played in 76 games last season, averaging 4 points and 3 rebounds in 16 minutes per game.
He was signed as a free agent last August.
The former Wisconsin Badger played for the Skyforce during the 2009-2010 season, where he was named the NBA D-League’s Defensive Player of the Year.
After a season in Turkey, Stiemsma returned to Sioux Falls in October of 2011, and played in four games with the Skyforce before signing with the Boston Celtics.
