When I first watched Taryn Christion play quarterback for Roosevelt High School, I knew the sky would be the limit on the next level as long as he stayed healthy.

He has all the athletic tools to play at the major D1 level but he decided to forgo the interest from some MAC schools and others and go just 50 minutes north of his hometown and play in Brookings for South Dakota State University.

Christion started in place of Zach Lujan who was out with an injury and he Taryn showed why he certainly belongs on that level already.

He combined to account for 320 yards of total offense in the 24-7 win over Indiana State.

For his efforts, Taryn Christion was named Missouri Valley Football Conference newcomer of the week.
