South Dakota State fans get an early Christmas present this weekend with all the Jackrabbit sports a loyal fan could possibly handle.

It all starts with the men's and women's swim team at the Jean Freeman Invitational in Minneapolis. The meet will start Friday and finish up Saturday afternoon for the Jackrabbits.

Then the men and women's track & field team will host their first meet of the season at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex. The SDSU Holiday Open and Multi meet will start at 5 P.M. on Friday and finish up on Saturday afternoon as well.

To end the night for SDSU athletics, the wrestling team will host the University of Iowa at 7:30 for a dual at Frost Arena.

Saturday has another full workload for the Jackrabbits, starting with the remainder of the swimming meet and track & field events.

The men's basketball team hosts the University of Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos at 11 A.M. in Frost Arena, followed by the women who host the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions at 6 P.M.

Then the most anticipated game of the weekend will kickoff at 2 P.M. in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. The Jackrabbits host the 9-3 Villanova Wildcats in the second round of the FCS playoffs. If the Jacks come out victorious, they will then travel to North Dakota State to take on the Bison Dec. 10.

To finish the weekend up, the wrestling team will take part in the South Dakota Showcase at the Sanford Pentagon. The Jackrabbits will start with Northern State at noon, followed by Dakota Wesleyan at 1:30 and then end the meet against Augustana University at 3 P.M.

No SDSU fan should complain about being bored this weekend, there's more than enough to entertain them the whole weekend!
