On senior night at Frost Arena, it was a junior who led South Dakota State to a 69-56 win over Omaha, wrapping up the Jackrabbits fourth Summit League regular season title in six years, thanks to IUPUI's loss at South Dakota.

Forward Hannah Strop had a strong first half, with 10 points and nine rebounds, en route to her first career double-double (13 points/13 rebounds), as seven different Jackrabbits scored in the first half.  SDSU also took advantage of their opportunities at the free throw line in the first half, going 11-of-11, to lead 38-33 at the break.

The Jacks saw their lead cut to two in the second half, after starting off 5-of13 from the floor.  But that's when the seniors took over, Ashley Eide, Katie Lingle, and Leah Dietel combining for eight of SDSU's next 14 points, part of a 14-2 run over 6:30 to turn a two-point game into a 14-point game.

Paige Frauendorfer led Omaha with 24 points.

South Dakota State (13-2) will close out the regular season at North Dakota State, March 2nd.  The Jacks will be the number one seed at the Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls when play begins March 9th.
