Semi Crash Closes Highway 42 East of Sioux Falls

According to our news-gathering partner KDLT News,a crash involving two semi trucks has closed portions of Highway 42, east of Sioux Falls.

One semi was engulfed in flames. The other semi is damaged and sitting in the ditch. Authorities have blocked off a section of the highway near Willow Run Golf Course. The highway is closed between Highway 11 north and Six Mile Road. Traffic control has been set up to redirect traffic away from the crash scene.

Authorities are telling drivers to take alternative routes until further notice.
