Sometimes history happens right in your own backyard and that is exactly what happened in Sioux Falls on Tuesday.

It happened on Taco Tuesday to be exact.

Chad Birger of Tea, SD was given the nations highest civilian taco award as presented by Taco Johns.

Birger received the award for being a Taco Johns diehard and rarely missing a Taco Tuesday. He became only the second person ever to receive the distinguished honor, joining a Minnesota man in the history books.

Some would say he has a problem, while Taco Johns would beg to differ.

A constant consumer of one of America's true treasures makes him a hero in their eyes and in the eyes of many fast food connoisseurs like myself.

For those who aren't familiar with the phenomenon that is Taco Tuesday, it is where you can scoop crispy beef tacos at a "ridiculously low price".
