The Dragic Brothers will spend some time apart. Sioux Falls will bolster their roster as a result.

Miami announced the assignment of guard Zoran Dragic to their NBA Development League affiliate. It will be his first taste of the D-League.

Zoran’s older brother Goran remains with the HEAT after both players were traded from Phoenix on February 19 just before the trade deadline. Zoran has appeared in eight NBA games this season, including two with the HEAT.

The younger Dragic is a rookie in NBA terms. However the native of Slovenia has been playing professionally since 2004. During his youth Zoran played with lower tier pro teams in his native country and also spent two seasons in Spain.

Zoran will be in uniform for the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Friday night against the Grand Rapids Drive. Dragic can play either shooting guard or small forward.
