Sioux Falls Girls Named to Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader Squad
UPDATE: A quick update on a story we brought you last week. Friend-of-the-show Kevin Nyberg and his wife Linda have two daughters - Karmen and Kristen - who tried out for the Minnesota Vikings cheerleading squad. Part of the process included a fan vote.
Well, we're happy to announce that both Karmen and Kristen made the team thanks to your help. According to the AP:
Experienced dancers Karmen and Kirsten Nyberg joined the team this week. The 23-year-old women previously were cheerleaders for the Sioux Falls Storm indoor football team. The Nybergs have been dancing for about 18 years. They graduated from Augustana College last spring. Karmen Nyberg danced competitively for 14 years, while Kirsten Nyberg also participated in competitive dance and cheerleading for more than ten years at the all-star and high school level. The sisters were members of Augustana's dance team.
Our friend Kevin Nyberg and his wife Linda have produced a whole bundle of good lookin' talented little Nybergs. At one time you'd see them scampering around some the the Nyberg's Ace stores here in Sioux Falls.
Two of Kevin & Linda's youngens' could use a little of your help right now.
Twin sisters Karmen & Kristen Nyberg have been cheering since they were six years old and are now finalists to join the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleading Team.
Please vote for Karmen #18 and Kirsten #19! HERE IS THE LINK TO VOTE!
Listen, the Minnesota Vikings need all the help they can get. With these two quality girls on the cheer team the Viking might just have a chance to make it to the Super Bowl, without having to buy tickets!?
