Sioux Falls Police say the hunt is on for the gun that was used in a homicide at Bakker Park Monday night.

"Our detectives did a pretty good search in an area down by Bakker Park on Wednesday based on some information from witnesses, where some people ran from the scene," explained Captain Loren McManus. "Our hope was to go into this area and try to find that weapon. It was kind of a marshy area so there was a bit more work to be done. That was unsuccessful."

McManus is asking the public for help in finding the missing gun.

"If you happen to find a weapon in your yard, garbage can or whatever it might be, please don't touch it. Give us a call and we will come and take care of it for you."

18-year-old Dylan Holler is charged with first-degree murder after police say he shot a 17 year old boy.
