Sioux Falls, SD – The Sioux Falls Skyforce selected Ike Nwamu in the first round (22nd overall) and Marcus Posley in the second round (44th overall) in the 2016 NBA Development League Draft.

Nwamu, a 6-5, 210-pound guard, finished his college career at UNLV, averaged 11.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists as a senior during the 2015-16 season. Prior to transferring to UNLV, he spent two years at Mercer College and one year at Cleveland. He scored in double figures 58 times throughout his college career, including 11 points on 4-5 shooting as Mercer defeated Duke in the first round of the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Nwamu scored a career-high 38 points along with a season-high eight rebounds on March 9, 2016 as UNLV defeated Air Force 108-102 in triple overtime.

Posley, a 6-1, 200-pound guard spent the last two seasons of his college career at St. Bonaventure. He averaged 19.6 points, 3.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 37.2 minutes per game during the 2015-16 season, including a career-high 47 points in a 98-90 win over Saint Joe’s on March 2, 2016. Posley scored in double-figures 27 times during his senior season, including his last 20 consecutive games. He also eclipsed 30 points six times over the course of the season.
