Sioux Falls Skyforce Re-Activate Mason, Jr.
After playing in only three of the first eight games of the season because of a leg injury, Anthony Mason, Jr. has been reactivated by the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The roster move arrives as the team embarks on an East coast trip to Maine and Springfield.
Mason, Jr. has played his entire NBADL career with the ‘Force after being allocated to Sioux Falls by the Miami Heat in 2010. This is his third season with the team, although not consecutively. He played internationally in Italy and Venezuela last season. Through 63 games over those three seasons, Mason, Jr. has averaged 16.25 points per game 5.6 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
To make room on the roster, the Skyforce released Jamine Peterson. Peterson was the team’s fourth round choice in the 2013 draft who had averaged 7.6 points, and 4.3 rebounds in seven games this season.
Sioux Falls (6-2) will be at Maine (5-2) for a Friday night contest, then at Springfield (1-7) on Saturday. The team will then return home for the annual Christmas Day game at the Sanford Pentagon.
