The Green Bay Packers have come under scrutiny after they put Aaron Rodgers on Injured Reserve for a second time this year.

Under the current system, you must be put on IR for a different injury than the original injury you were put on IR earlier in the season for.

The insinuation is that Rodgers came back from the collar bone injury to play in a meaningful game for the Packers last week in Carolina only to be put back on the IR after the Packers were eliminated from playoff contention for the same injury.

According to ESPN, some NFL owners contacted the league and have requested they look into the situation.

The hope of some of the owners according to reports is that the Packers would be forced to release Rodgers because of the mistake.

Many believe that would never happen, but regardless, the Packers continue to be under scrutiny for their actions this week.
