The Summit League's best team is fittingly the only team to put two players on the all-conference first team.

South Dakota State's Ashley Eide and Megan Waytashek are first team All Summit League selections for the 2012-13 season.

Eide, a senior from Washington High School in Sioux Falls, was 11th in scoring with 13 points per game, Waytashek, the only sophomore on the first team, led the Summit in three-point shooting , was second in field goal percentage, and fourth in scoring with 16 points per game.

The rest of the All Summit League First Team:

G - Paige Frauendorfer - Omaha
G/F Amanda Hyde - Fort Wayne
F - Kerah Nelson - IUPUI
G - Eilise O'Connor - Kansas City

Hyde is the Player of the Year.

Jackrabbit senior Katie Lingle is the Sixth Woman of the Year.   The senior from Pierre came off the bench for nine points and four rebounds a game.  She was third in the league in blocked shots, fourth in field goal percentage.

Ashley Luke of Western Illinois is the Newcomer of the Year,  Dee-Dee Bellamy of IUPUI is the Defensive Player of the Year, while Austin Parkinson of IUPUI is the Coach of the Year.

The Summit League Tournament starts Saturday in Sioux Falls.
