Despite a cold shooting night, the South Dakota Coyotes clinched the third seed in next weekend's Summit League Tournament, with a 50-39 win in Omaha Thursday night.

USD (10-6) shot just 34 percent from the floor, but did outscore the Mavericks (6-9) 12-0 from behind the three-point arc, while dominating the glass 48-34, and limiting UNO to 31 percent shooting.

Freshman Margaret McCloud was in the lineup for the first time in four games due to injury, and she responded with a double-double (10 points/10 rebounds) on 5-for-7 shooting.  Nicole Seekamp led all Coyote scorers with 11 points.

USD led 25-21 at the half.

South Dakota will open Summit League Tournament play next Sunday afternoon at the Sioux Falls Arena.
