In their first season as an eligible member of the Summit League, the South Dakota women's basketball came within one win of going to the NCAA Tournament.  This season, they'll try to get there for the first time with a schedule that features four teams that did qualify for the 'big dance' last season.

The just released 2013-14 schedule features road games at Iowa State, Nebraska and Creighton, as well as two games with Summit League rival South Dakota State, the team that beat them in the league championship game in March.

The Coyotes will also play a pair of 'home' games away from Vermillion that will count as neutral site games in the computer rankings.  USD will host Drake at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, November 21st, and will play South Dakota School of Mines at the Rushmore Civic Center in Rapid City, December 7th.

The season starts with a four-game road trip, November 8th - 17th, with match-ups at Cal State-Fullerton, UC Irvine, Iowa State, and North Dakota.

The home opener is November 24th against Boise State. Wyoming, Utah State, and  Northern Iowa are all on the non-conference home schedule.

In Summit League play, the Coyotes and Jackrabbits play February 2nd in Brookings  and March 2nd in Vermillion.

The Summit League Tournament begins six days later in Sioux Falls.
