SIOUX FALLS, SD -- The Sioux Falls Stampede announced Thursday that they have traded defenseman Victor Bjorkung to the Chicago Steel for a draft pick in the 2014 USHL Draft.

Bjorkung was acquired by the Stampede in a trade from Fargo midway through the 2012-13 season and appeared in 34 games, posting 16 points (5g, 11a) and was a plus-15. The Stockholm, Sweden native skated in 26 games in Fargo, recording six points in 26 games.

Each USHL team can carry a maximum of four 1993 birthdates (20 year olds) and are limited to four imports (non-USA citizens) on their final roster.

The Stampede kick off their 15th anniversary season this Saturday when they travel to Des Moines to face the Buccaneers at 7:05 PM.
