Sioux Falls was a buzz all week with the Champions Tour in town for the Sanford International and when the dust settled, Steve Stricker took home the title.

Stricker shot a -3 on in round three on Sunday to complete the victory with a -13 for the tournament.

He was able to hold off Iowa native Jerry Smith who ended the three day event at -9.

Steve Stricker is the vice captain for the Ryder Cup team and splits time between the Champions Tour and the PGA Tour.

All weekend long, crowds enjoyed great golf, great hospitality and great weather all while watching the inaugural Sanford International at the Minnehaha Country Club.

The Sanford International has a five year deal in place with the Champions Tour so there will be at least four more events in Sioux Falls over the next few years.

(And for those wondering, John Daly didn't get through round 2, having to withdraw for a second strait week)
