At this point in the season, Minnesota needs to stay on the Keenum train and quit pretending like there's a possibility for a Bridgewater sighting. Why would you even entertain that thought when you're on a Super Bowl run?

Let's face it, the NFL isn't overwhelming with talent at the quarterback position. Gone are the days of having Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Roethlisberger and the Manning brothers slinging the ball around every Sunday.

If you have a solid defense, a few playmakers and a quarterback that doesn't make mistakes, you can go pretty far in the NFL today. That's exactly what the Vikings have found with Case Keenum this season.

Keenum doesn't make anything ridiculous happen and he certainly doesn't have the arm that others do. But this season he has done a great job at simply not making mistakes and making the right throws.

On the season, Keenum has thrown for 2,194 yards, 12 touchdowns, and only 5 interception. Even more impressive is the 93.7 passer rating he's posted. He's lead the Vikings to a 7-2 record while under center, which has placed the Vikings at 8-2 on the season.

With a stout Vikings defense holding opponents to an average of 17.2 points a game, Keenum has been able to get the ball into his playmakers hands without having to do too much.

Fourth year man Adam Thielen has turned out to be much better than just a possession receiver for the Vikings. Many occasions this season he's has been able to get good separation to give Keenum an easy throw.

Stefon Diggs has certainly helped spring Thielen onto the scene as well. While Thielen has definitely had a great season, he's not your number one receiver. Diggs still draws the most attention from opposing defenses despite being hobbled most of the season.

Look, Keenum isn't your franchise quarterback but at this point in the season he looks pretty damn good. It's time the Bridgewater talk ends and Vikings fans realize what they've got in front of them... which is a solid starter and not many teams can say that.
