It's semfinal day at the Summit League Women's Tournament in Sioux Falls and both local schools are one step away from a date in the championship.

South Dakota State plays the first game of the day, rested after Saturday's quarterfinal win over Oakland.  Ashley Eide and Katie Lingle each had 18 for SDSU in the win - their 13th straight in Summit Tournament play.

Fort Wayne is far from rested. The Mastodons survived a double overtime thriller with Western Illinois yesterday, as Haley Seibert socred 33 points - 24 above her season average.

The Jacks swept the season series, as Megan Waytashek scored 30 in the first game, and Katie Lingle hit for 18 in the second.

South Dakota plays the second semifinal against IUPUI.

The Coyotes had an easy time with North Dakota State in the quarterfinals, winning by 20 yesterday.  Nicole Seekamp and Tempestt Wilson each had 15 points, Sam Mehr added 14.

The second seeded Jaguars beat Kansas City by 12 Saturday, as All-Summit League player Kerah Nelson had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  D'Airra also notched a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The Coyotes swept the season series with the Jags, Tempestt Wilson with 26 points in the first game, as USD shot 61 percent.  In game two, the Coyotes used a 15-0 second half run to win by 17.

The USD defense shut down Kerah Nelson this season, limiting her to just five points on 2-for14 shooting.

The winners play in the championship tomorrow at 2:30pm on ESPNU.
