Amanda Kessel scored twice, and the Gophers beat Boston University 6-3 on Sunday to become the first undefeated team in the 13-year history of NCAA women’s hockey, and run their winning streak to 49 straight games.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers only need one more victory to become the first team in women's college hockey to finish with a perfect record. The Gophers play Boston University Sunday for the national championship, taking a 48-game winning streak onto their home ice at Ridder Arena.
