The University of Denver accepted an invitation to become The Summit League’s newest member institution, joining the conference for the 2013-14 academic year.

South Dakota State's Nate Wolters was named to the John Wooden Award Preseason Top 50. The list is comprised of 50 student-athletes who, based on last year's individual performance and team records, are the early front-runners for college basketball's most prestigious honor.

Jackrabbit guard Nate Wolters, the 2012 Summit League Tournament MVP and an AP honorable mention All-America selection, was the preseason choice for Player of the Year.

Offensive woes continued to haunt the South Dakota volleyball team on Sunday as the Coyotes lost to Western Illinois 25-12, 25-19, 27-25.
