Tampa Bay Rays Place CF Desmond Jennings on 15-Day DL with Left Knee Soreness

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Rays have placed center fielder Desmond Jennings on the 15-day disabled list with left knee soreness.

The news was announced before Sunday's game against Baltimore.

Jennings hasn't played since leaving a game April 25 with the injury. He is the 14th Tampa Bay player to go on the DL this season.

Tampa Bay also purchased the contract of outfielder Joey Butler from Triple-A Durham.
