The Chicago Cubs have won the free agent lottery and signed their ace for the next six seasons. Jon Lester will be making the move to the windy city.

The decision from Lester came last night as he was deciding between the Cubs, returning to the Boston Red Sox, or potentially even landing with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Lester's deal with the Cubs is worth $155 million according to ESPN. The extra benefits to the contract include a no trade clause, $30 million signing bonus, and a $25 million vesting option.

Lester has gone 116-67 in his career and now join a Cubs team that is looking to make a run for a World Series. The Cubs open the season on April 5th against St. Louis.
