Sunday is the end of a legendary track that's been known for it's top notch racing all around the world. When the checkered flag falls Sunday, it's the end of an era.

The speedway South of Brandon, South Dakota, will be renamed Badlands Motor Speedway under new owner Chuck Brennan.

The track opened on May 23, 1954. The facility got it's name from founder Tilman Huset.

The name Huset's will end after the race held September 13, 2015. This marks the final and championship race of the season.

The final event will showcase 410 cubic inch outlaw sprints racing for $10,000 to win. Racing starts at 6:00 PM.

Over six decades, several generations have watched the sport of racing evolve on Huset's Speedway's high banked 1/3 mile track. The size of the track is not 3/8 of a mile like many believed it to be.

Many of the world's top drivers have raced at Huset's Speedway. Some have come from there.
