The weather may have halted play for the second round of the Symetra Tour GreatLIFE Challenge, but it certainly did not derail the excitement. Despite mother nature's best efforts, nothing was going to stop Caroline Westrup and her masterful six birdie performance from earning the top spot through two days of tournament action. Despite her 58th ranking in the Symetra Tour Caroline Westrup has played with top ranked talent.

Starting the tournament tied for fifth after round one, Caroline Westrup used what she described as good course management to help catapult herself to the top spot tied with Cydney Claton with ten under par. Her good course management really showed as she led the top five in fairways hit in regulation (11/13) while only missing two greens, all the while avoiding every bunker on the course.

Caroline was determined to succeed and her masterful round two performance puts her in good company along with current number one ranked Lee Lopez and third ranked Giuila Molinaro. Now that the tournament has almost reached its halfway point, Caroline Westrup sits in the drivers seat heading into the weekend finale.

I don't know about anyone else, but I just can't wait for the start of round three of the Symetra Tour GreatLIFE Challenge to begin to see how the rest of tournament will unfold.
