Sources have confirmed with Billboard that Katy Perry will be this year's halftime entertainment at the Super Bowl.

The NFL was asking artists to pay to play since the exposure boosts their album sales, touring and public profile. Perry recently said "I'm not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl."

The NFL has declined to comment.
