Three people from Omaha are facing counterfeit-related charges after they were caught with what Sioux Falls police say was counterfeit currency.

Officer Sam Clemens says the first instance was reported over the weekend at Club David on West 11th Street:

Arrested on charges of possessing a forged instrument and passing a forged instrument were 18-year-old Amann Johnson, 22-year-old Candace Evans and 37-year-old Eduardo Anchondo-Arzola, all of Omaha.

Clemens says similar bills were later located at several fast-food restaurants and other businesses, notably along South Minnesota Avenue. He says Evans had a counterfeit $100, and he says eight of the bogus twenties had been passed at Club David.
