SIOUX FALLS, SD -- Augustana handled the University of Mary easily in three sets 25-11, 25-8, 25-12 to get back on the winning track.  The Vikings are now 10-5, 4-2 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference competition, and the Mauraders fall to 2-11, 2-4 in the NSIC.

Augustana ran away with the first set using three Grace Sanders service aces on a 10-point run to put the Mauraders away 25-11.  Holly Hafemeyer knocked down four kills and Jordan Spatenka and Taylor Hrdlichka added three each.

The Vikings held U-Mary to a -.091 attack percentage in the second set and dropped the Mauraders 25-8.  Augustana holding U-Mary to eight points ties the lowest number a Viking opponent has hit in the 2012 season (Chadron State, Sept. 8.)

U-Mary got on the board first, but Augustana quickly responded completing the sweep of the Mauraders in convincing fashion, 25-12.  Spatenka crushed five kills in the 14-minute third set and Augustana completed their sweep of the Mauraders.

Three Vikings hit career-bests in attack percentage.  Hafemeyer hit an other-worldly .688 with 11 kills on 16 attempts and no errors.  Hrdlichka also had an error-free match with seven kills on 13 attacks for a .538 attack percentage.  Spatenka also finished with a career-high attack percentage of .571 with 13 kills and one error.

Marissa Johnson returned to form and dished out 36 assists in three quick sets of work.

The Vikings return to the court Saturday for a showdown with Minot State at 4 p.m.
