TORONTO (AP) — Kevin Love had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 101-89 preseason victory over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

Nikola Pekovic had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Timberwolves and J.J. Barea added 12 points.

DeMar DeRozan scored 17 points for Toronto and Rudy Gay added 11. New Raptor Tyler Hansbrough had nine points and seven rebounds, while Jonas Valanciunas had nine points and Kyle Lowry added eight.

New Raptor Steve Novak hit three 3-pointers in the second quarter to help Toronto take a 59-55 halftime lead.

Ronny Turiaf had seven points in the third quarter as the Timberwolves took the lead for good.

The Timberwolves face former South Dakota State star Nate Wolters and the Milwaukee Bucks in a preseason game Thursday night at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.
