Augustana's Jenelle Trautmann and Amanda Walters of the University of Sioux Falls have been named to the Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team.

Trautmann, a pitcher and utility player for the Vikings, is batting .341 with a team-high 18 home runs and 56 RBI. Trautmann has hit 18 home runs for the third straight season and recently became Augustana's all-time leader in home runs having hit 54 in her three seasons with the Vikings.  She has 10 doubles and a .698 slugging percentage and has played in all 59 games for Augustana this season.

Trautmann has made 41 pitching appearances for the Vikings this season and owns a 27-6 record to go along with a 2.42 ERA and one save. She started 30 games in the circle and struck out 168 batters in 179.0 innings of work. Trautmann leads all pitchers in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conrference in wins, picking up a career-high 27 victories so far this season.

Augustana will host the NCAA Division II Central Super Regional Tournament this Friday and Saturday.  The Vikings (46-13) will play Southeastern Oklahoma State University (41-18) in a best-of-three series at Bowden Field.

Walters, a senior pitcher from Sioux Falls, was dominate for the Cougars in her final season, recording an ERA of 2.60 and a WHIP of 1.19 while going 18-9 on the mound. Walters stifled opponents at the plate as she set the USF single season (215) and career (354) records for strikeouts. She also holds single season records in innings pitched with 175 and wins with 18.  Her three saves are single season and career records.

Walters helped guide the Cougars to a historic 2014 season, as the Cougars broke ten school records, including most wins in a season as USF went 30-17 on the year.

The Daktronics All-Region team is voted on by sports information directors in the NSIC, MIAA and GAC.
