The hot stove is heating up across Major League Baseball and the Minnesota Twins have targeted pitching early this off season.

Last week, the Twins signed Michael Pineda to a two year deal and Fernando Rodney to a one year deal.

The signing of Pineda is more of a target for 2019 as he is coming off Tommy John surgery and wont be able to pitch until late in 2018 or not until the beginning of 2019.

His deal is a two year, $10 million dollar deal that gives him $2 million this year and $8 million next year.

The Twins also went out and got their full time closer for 2018 by signing Rodney.

The 41 year old completed 29 of 35 save opportunities last year for the Diamondbacks as they made it to the NLDS.

There are multiple reports that the Minnesota Twins are also targeting Yu Darvish in free agency which would give them a true #1 starter for the first time in a while.

We will see if the Twins continue to add to the pitching staff and what other areas they target as the off season continues.
