Two Former Pheasants in Big League Camps

When major league baseball Spring Training camps open this month, two former Sioux Falls Pheasants will be there as non-roster invitees.

Reliever George Sherrill is in camp with the Kansas City Royals.  Sherrill pitched in Sioux Falls in 2001 and appeared in two games for the Mariners last season, posting and ERA of 27.

Catcher Eddy Rodriguez is in camp with the San Diego Padres.  Rodriguez played in Sioux Falls in 2011 and got seven at bats in two games with the Padres last season, hitting .200 with one home run and three strikeouts.
