He continued to ball out in his second strait week as the starter for the Jackrabbits as Taryn Christion helped lead SDSU to a 38-8 win over Youngstown State.

For his efforts again this week, Christion took home the same honor he did last week in a winning effort for the Jacks as he was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Newcomer of the Week.

His final stat line from Saturday was 8-14 passing, 122 yards passing and a touchdown.  Overall, he had 75 yards rushing including a 70 yard touchdown scamper in the fourth quarter.

The Jackrabbits will continue to climb the ranks as long as Christion continues to lead and play as well as he has.

South Dakota State is now 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the MVFC.  They host Northern Iowa on Saturday and kickofff for the annual Hobo Day game is set for 2 p.m. at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium.
