A final push by the visitors meant the difference in a Sioux Falls Skyforce 103-94 road win over Maine Saturday night.

At the end of three stanzas Sioux Falls (14-11) had a tenuous grip on a 72-71 lead.  Midway through the fourth it was the Red Claws (17-8) leading 86-82.  The crucial run came at the right time for Sioux Falls outscoring Maine 17-3 in the next five minutes 30 seconds to seal the win.

Call it a dual comeback as Tyler Johnson completed his 10-day contract with the Miami Heat and returned to the Skyforce lineup hitting the bucket that tied the game at 86.  Johnson’s overall body of work consisted of 18 points with 10 assists.  Fuquan Edwin was the high man point-wise with 21, Scotty Hopson next with 20 and Shawn Jones posting a double-double (16 points, 12 rebounds).   A big slam by Johnson, Hopson's killer drive and Edwin's abilities inside and out all in the highlight package below.

Adding to the subplot is the leading scorer for the Red Claws whom the Skyforce know very well.  Andre Dawkins put up 27 to lead all scorers as he is now property of the Boston Celtics on a 10-day contract.  As reported earlier this week, that was the intention for Dawkins to assign him to the D-League.  The reunion with the old teammates made an impact on the former Duke Blue Devil.  “It was a fun game to be a part of.  I wish them the best in every game except this one.”

Maine will try to break a 3-game losing skid against Canton this coming Friday while Sioux Falls will travel to Delaware in an attempt win their third straight overall on Tuesday.

Tyler Johnson's gonna get it up and deal it out.

Hopson's inside-outside game plus the bucket to seal the deal.

Now it's Edwin's turn as he can get loose down low and outside.
