South Dakota football coach Joe Glenn has experienced some of the best moments in college football history, with a trio of national championships.

In his quarter-century as a head coach, he's made it to the mountaintop twice with Northern Colorado and once with Montana.

Following those two stops, it was off to Wyoming for Glenn, where he coached the Cowboys from 2003-2008.  During that stint, Glenn experienced one of his more humbling moments in the game.

It was 2007, and Wyoming was getting ready to play Utah.  In the run-up to the game, Coach Glenn, showing the kind of confidence that led him to three national titles, guaranteed a victory over the Utes.

Final score: UTAH 50 - WYOMING 0

So why is that news today?    ESPN radio is asking for listeners to weigh in on the 'Worst Guarantee in the History of Sports', and guess what they included?  Joe Glenn's misguided boast from six years ago.
