The more things change, the more they stay the same in the Summit League's indoor track season.

South Dakota’s Bethany Buell and Jeff Mettler both earned Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second straight week after setting school records at the Iowa State Classic last Saturday.

Buell earned the honor for the third straight week after winning the pole vault with a 14-2 mark.  That mark broke her previous record of 13-11¾ and places her fourth in the nation.  She has set the USD indoor pole vault record in each of the last three weeks.

Mettler earned the honor for the second straight week and third time this season by winning the 3,000-meters in a school record time of 8:09.82.  He broke the record he set earlier this year at the Jack Johnson Classic by five seconds (8:15.06).
