For already the second time this season, South Dakota guard Raeshel Contreras is the Summit League’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The senior from San Francisco led the Coyotes to wins over the University of St. Mary (KS) and North Dakota last week, averaging 24 points, six rebounds, five steals, and four rebounds a game.

She shot 52 percent from the floor (16-of-31) in the victories, 50 percent (8-of-16) from the three-point line, and was perfect (8-of-8) from the free throw line, as the Coyotes pushed their win streak to seven games.

USD (9-2) finishes non-conference play next week with a pair of games in San Antonio, December 28th against UTSA and December 29th against Chattanooga.

The Coyotes open Summit League play January 2nd at Omaha.
