The 5-0 Sioux Falls Cougars are currently ranked #9 in all of division II college football but what's even more impressive is the numbers their offense has put up.

USF is at the top of the list in all of division II for total offense and is sitting at third in team rushing through five games so far. Running back Max Mickey ranks third in division II in total rushing yards with 786 and is averaging 152 rushing yards per game, which also ranks third in the nation. The two schools that have more rushing yards, also have 108 and 90 more attempts than USF.

USF is at the top of the list for total offense by averaging 568 yards per game and have racked up 2840 yards of offense this season. The Cougars have had some video game type numbers the first five games: 505, 604, 453, 636 and 562 yards. They also rank second nationally in yards per play with 7.87.

This is exactly why D1 programs want Jed Stugart. He's taken a small school like USF, recruited good players and has gotten them to buy in. Now he's in command of one of the best offenses in the nation and has his team ranked in the top ten in all of division II.

Stugart has already had multiple DI schools express interest in him the past couple seasons and with how his team is performing once again, I'm sure there will be plenty more to come.
