MANKATO, MN -- The University of Sioux Falls claimed four individual titles in it's first-ever Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field championships.

Augustana crowned two individual champions in the two day meet at Minnesota State-Mankato.

The University of Mary claimed the women's team championship with USF finishing third and the Vikings sixth.  In the men's competition, the host Mavericks dominated with Augustana third and the Cougars fourth.

Sioux Falls' Jazzelena Black won the long jump with a leap of 5.97 meters to meet NCAA automatic qualifying standards. Black also took the triple jump, soaring 12.38m to set school and conference records and qualify for the national meet.

The Cougars dominated the pole vault competition, taking six of the top seven places on the women's side.  Brigitte Gross took first with a vault of 3.91 meters.  USF took three of the top four places in the men's pole vault with Jagger Gran clearing 4.94 meters for the title.

Augustana's Kayla Mescher won the 800-meter race in 2:14.42 to earn her first individual conference title.

TJ Gleason won the 5,000-meter run by almost three seconds in a time of 14:54.53.
