EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - It didn't take long for rookie kicker Blair Walsh to make an impression on his Minnesota Vikings teammates.

Walsh kicked four field goals against Jacksonville in his first game, including a 55-yarder that tied the game at the end of regulation and a 38-yarder that won it in overtime.

The big day went a long way toward validating the Vikings' decision to cut veteran Ryan Longwell in the offseason. Longwell was released shortly after the Vikings chose Walsh in the sixth round out of Georgia.

Walsh says his phone hasn't stopped ringing this week. But he also knows that it will all be forgotten if he has a bad day in Indianapolis on Sunday.
