ST. PAUL, MN --  Augustana was swept by sixth-ranked Concordia-St. Paul when the offense couldn't get rolling.  The Vikings drop to 11-6 overall, 5-3 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference competition and the Golden Bears improve to 12-3 overall, 6-2 in NSIC play.

Concordia-St. Paul pulled away with a late five-point run and finished off the first Vikings in the first set 25-17.  Holly Hafemeyer paced the Augustana offense with four kills and Taylor Hrdlichka chipped in with three in the first.

The Vikings nursed a four-point lead in the second set but the Golden bears eventually tied the score at 15-15.  From there, neither team was willing to give any ground.  The Vikings and Concordia-St. Paul traded points until CU finished on a 6-1 run and closed out Augustana 25-21.

The Golden Bears steadily expanded a lead using three and four-point runs and put the Vikings away 25-16.  Augustana attempted a comeback several times in the third, but couldn't gain any traction and gave up two late service aces and lost on a four-point run.

Jordan Spatenka and Ysker each drilled nine kills and Ysker also scooped up 13 digs for the match.  Hafemeyer and Hrdlichka finished with eight and seven kills, respectively.  Marissa Johnson dished out 24 assists for the match.

The Vikings return to the court Saturday afternoon against Minnesota State at 4 p.m
